At our August Stated Communication, we voted to donate $200 to West Gate so they can take a group of children from the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford (MHCO) to a Panthers game. Below is an email from Gary Cooke of West Gate Lodge letting us know the results:
The next home game vs chiefs we will host 50 Oxford kids & house parents.It is a joint venture between Phalanx, West Gate, Williams, Long Creek, Steele Creek, Excelsior & James K. Polk.
The tickets have been bought and Bro. Mack Wilson has gotten that part all taken care of. WB Bucky Oates and I will take care of the menu before and after the game.
We plan to feed them before and after the game just like last year. Now we are working on getting donations to give each child some cash to purchase panther gear/souvenirs. Last year we gave each child $30. If you would like to donate and/or help just contact me.
